One application, One college, One shot. And thankfully, not one regret
Amidst the chaos of applying into multiple colleges that decided our futures, I put all my eggs into one basket. No back-up plans, just a whole lot of faith and anxiety. If it weren't for that, I'd probably be an accountant somewhere struffling with Excel. Thankfully it paid off and my design journey began.
With imposter syndrome in my pocket, I experienced a designer's life in a different light
The biggest learning curve as a design student was my second-year apprenticeship, getting hands on experience for the first time in the design industry. Everything unfolded over Google meet and I dreaded what's coming for me post grad.
Long nights, cold stairs, lots of notes, and endless rolls of tape
First time hearing the words "Spatial Graphics" and the first time building a 10 feet illustrated mural. We were a team of 8 designers and 1 mentor, branding and designing spatial graphics for "The Handmade Collective", an artisan event hosted by an NGO.
Five months of tension and turmoil. My first brainchild
My capstone project was super intense, highly exhilarating, and exactly the kind of exercise that got me highly passionate into the world of design. It really taught me the importance of research and got me experimenting into User Experience.
From personal projects to strategic pitch decks and C-suite presentations
Fresh out of design school, I began my job hunt with a portfolio full of promise. After some trial and error, I joined McKinsey. Every day I learnt more and experienced something different.
12 people walked in for the assessment. 1 got the badge ;)
While I was still figuring out Figma, a UI Designer position opened up in the Media Design team. Four rounds and mid-assessment learning sessions later, I got the role! The promotion though? Put on pause. Apparently they didn't 'need' a designer just yet. That one stung…
Was told there's no room at the top. So I made room anyway
Though I was moved as a "backup" designer, I went with it. Got myself working only on media design products and finally got the opportunity to build a high impact banking dashboard for a proposal. I let my work speak louder than the org chart and there came my promotion.
Resigned from the company that I loved so deep for the man I love more
Packed up a load of memories and lessons and moved to Bahrain with hopes for something bigger and brighter. Still in love with design. Still hungry for impact. Just need the right team to tag in now.
I moved to Bahrain in the last week of July 2025. After a much needed break to unwind, it's time for me to get back on track. I'm currently looking for opportunities in UI and/or Visual Design that'll help me blend design with great user experiences and storytelling.

“Rinsha has been the best Visual Graphics colleague I have worked with in my time here. She truly represents the best of our firm and exceeded expectations in terms of timeliness, quality of visuals, and communication. She created a template from scratch for us to use throughout the study, and it was one of the finest templates I have ever seen. I would love to work together more in the future”

“During our work together on a UI Dashboard for a Proposal for a large Asian Bank, Rinsha displayed remarkable ownership of the project. She took the initiative to research the current trends within the client’s industry, ensuring our designs were both innovative and relevant. Her ability to deliver a high-quality UI prototype within a challenging timeframe was truly impressive and it strengthened our relationship with the CST team.”
